Typhoon Ulysses – On The Ground

Ground Update Typhoon Ulysses caused significant damage between 11/12th November with powerful winds and torrential rain that tragically killed dozens of people, destroyed thousand of homes, and left swathes of the region flooded. Significant infrastructure damage was caused in Luzon including Metro Manila resulting in greater damage than the 3 previous typhoons immediately proceeding Ulysses. Total Claims Specialist have teams on the ground and to date have inspected 75% of the losses already received and continue to work over the weekend to assist our clients and their Insureds. TCS Typhoon Rolly On The Ground Update 2

Our ‘On The Ground Team’ arrived in Camarines Sur earlier this week to inspect losses in and around Naga. We also have a team in Albay attending inspections and available for new instructions. Conditions remain challenging due to the heavy rain still being experienced, the lack of power and communications in many places as well as damage to roads. We have also initiated our ‘Remote Loss Adjusting’ protocol for the hardest to reach areas to ensure the quickest response possible for affected Insureds.
